イスラミックセンタージャパンは、殺された罪のない人々を代弁して、強く抗議します。後藤さんは戦闘員でもなければ、行政機関に所属していたわけでもありませんでした。彼は真実を追求するジャーナリストとして知られていました。この度、このような悲劇的な結果となり、我々は深い悲しみに暮れています。

ISIS（イスラム国）は、人質を捕え、彼らを殺すことで、重大な罪を犯しました。彼らは、彼ら自身がイスラム教徒であると主張しています。しかしながら、コーランでは以下の様に明確に述べられています。
「人を殺した者、地上で悪を働いたという理由もなく人を殺す者は、全人類を殺したのと同じである。人の生命を救うものは、全人類の生命を救ったのと同じである。」

イスラミックセンタージャパンは、人質事件に対処する為の拠点を、ジッダ（サウジアラビア）、アンマン（ヨルダン）、イスタンブール（トルコ）そしてイラク内部に設けました。その設立目的は、過去にイラクで起きた日本人の人質事件の際にもなされたように、人質の無条件解放を実現することです。

ISISが、人質によっていかなる利益も得ない様に願います。イスラム教は、平和的な相互共存を求める平和的な宗教です。

お二方の犠牲者のご家族に対して、心から哀悼の意を表します。

Islamic Center Japan denounces in the strongest words the killing of innocent people. Mr. Goto was not a combatant nor belongs to any governmental organization. He is a well-known journalist seeking the truth. We are very sad by this tragic end.
ISIS committed a grave crime by taking hostage and killing them. They claim to be Muslims. But it is being stated clearly in Quran that: whosoever killed a person – unless it be for killing a person or for creating disorder in the land – it shall be as if he killed all mankind; and whoso saved a life, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.

Islamic Center Japan has set hostage crisis points at Jeddah, Amman. Istanbul and inside Iraq. The aim was to secure the unconditional release of the hostage as has done previously in another hostage case.
We hope ISIS will not be given recognition through hostage exchange or any benefit from it. Islam is a religion of peace which calls for peaceful mutual coexistence.
We send our heartfelt condolences to the families of both victims.
